This sea turtle silver pendant is intricately detailed. The scales around its head, shell, flippers are clear and distinctive, even on the underside.

Flippers?

Sea turtles spend almost all their time in the sea. For this reason, they don't have feet like tortoises do. Instead, sea turtles have adapted flippers that allow them to 'fly' through water.

The front flippers are flapped up and down to thrust them forward and the back feet are utilized as rudders for steering rather than for propulsion.

Four strips of inlaid Paua Shell makes this sterling silver sea turtle pendant looks even better and very appropriate, as turtle shells are green as these Paua Shells are.
